Through the years I have often
thought of my friends whom I used to ride with at SeaHorse Riding
Club. What you are doing now? Are you married? Do you have any
children? What career path did you take? Are you still involved
in horses? Okay, so maybe I am a little nosy, but aren't you just
a little bit curious what happened to that group of friends you
used to hang out with at the barn and at shows? Sure you are!
Occasionally I pop in at the local horseshows and see some of
my friends who are still riding, some are even trainers themselves
now, or I see others around town occasionally. I spent most of
my childhood (9-17 yrs old) and some of my adult life, on a horse
or around horses. It was a special part of my life that I will
always carry with me and never forget.
That's what got me thinking about a SeaHorse Reunion. I thought
it would be fun to see old friends again, share some stories,
have some fun and food together. I pitched the idea to Nicole
and Larry Lean and they thought it was a great idea. Along with
Jill (Olla) O'Gorman; Nicole, Larry and I are planning "SeaHorse
Riding Club Reunion 2009".
In order to make the reunion a special opportunity to visit with
friends and make sure we all have a great time, we need a little
help from you! Willing to have a guest or two overnight? Are
you willing to call people and encourage them to join us? We
want
SeaHorse Riding Club Reunion 2009 to be fun for everyone. Over
the next few months, we'll communicate with you via e-mail and
message boards regarding reunion plans. SeaHorse Riding Club
website will provide information about reunion activities, who's
coming,
housing, transportation, etc. Feel free to forward the information
on to others who were a part of SeaHorse - and ask them to provide
us with their e-mail address so that they can receive the information
directly.
This reunion will be a great opportunity to reconnect with old
friends, make new friends, and have some fun! We look forward
to seeing you in December 2009.
